The Garden - part 1

We have lived in our place for over a year now, so we have managed to make a start on a few things around the place - not as much as we would have liked as we seem to always be here, there & everywhere.

One of the first things Mr P Man wanted to do was relocate the lean-to that was on the side of his shed (like an open shelter sort of thing).  This would get it out of sight and would no longer be an eye sore when enjoying the soon(?!) to be finished entertaining area.  He sourced some odds and sods that would otherwise get thrown out and also reused the materials it was already made of - so the only cost to us was his time.

Next we decided to tackle the pool area.  We live in Tassie...we don't really get what you call tropical weather - even in summer.  The pool got used a couple of times last summer and I think that was by my nephew who lasted about 10 minutes before his lips turned blue and he started shivering and wanted to get out (yes it was very short lived!).  Don't get me wrong, it's great to have a pool - but they are so. much. work! and are only good if you actually like to go swimming.  The thought of swimming, then having to get clean and dried again sounds like too much effort for me.  Mr P Man's dad put his hand up to take the pool - he has a wholesale nursery so is going to put it to good use growing water lily's and the like...and in return we will get some of his lovely plants to make our garden look pretty.

To be continued.....

Love Mrs P Man xoxox

Bye bye pool!
